The Exhibit - Nature's Best Awards
I am excited and extremely honored to announce that my image Autumn in Assiniboine was recently selected as the winning image in the Landscape Category in the 2015 Nature's Best International Photography Competition sponsored by the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. (Windland Smith-Rice International Award). The image taken last year while backpacking in Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park in British Columbia was selected from among 20,000 entries from around the world. The competition is one of the most prestigious and draws internationally recognized nature photographers. The image will be displayed in a photography Exhibit at the Museum of Natural History beginning October 24, 2015 through October 2016. An awards and recognition reception for the opening of the exhibit is scheduled for November 12th 2015. If you're in the area, check out the exhibit. There will be some exceptional wildlife images as well as other landscape images that received Highly Honored awards.
