Metallic Cove

The iridescent sheen in the water initially caught my eye so I designed this image around it. The rainbow of colors is naturally occurring and results from bacteria and oxidized iron and manganese. In the distance rise the mountains surrounding Mooselookmeguntic Lake near Rangeley, Maine.
