Presidential Range Commissioned Panorama Mural - Settlers Green Plaza -
North Conway, NH

This panorama of NH's northern Presidential Range and Mount Washington was recently installed at Settlers Green Shopping Plaza in North Conway, NH and looks pretty wild! It measures 50 x 12 feet and resides between the Coach and Banana Republic stores. Looks like some night lighting is there too. Check it out on your way through town or if staying in the area.

In order to meet the developer's vision, I needed to get a little creative as environmental conditions were not going to gel in the short window I had to shoot this. The peachy sky and snow capped alpine areas were shot 5 days earlier than the near hills (from the exact position and focal length) in order to capture new growth spring buds and mtn snow. The hills were shot shortly after sunrise so the angled light could illuminate the trees and give them texture - something not possible at sunrise. Some big snow years enable expansive snow fields and budding trees to be visible on the same day, but not this year. I did have the good fortune to have several light snow events at the end of April and beginning of May to whiten the alpine areas. Each image consisted of a mosaic of 22 vertical images, overlapped and stitched together to create the highly detail, large resolution image needed for the project. This is my largest mural to date.
