Technicolor Wall

After photographing this rock formation extensively 4 years earlier during the Covid 19 pandemic, I returned 4 years later to try some new images. The wall is periodically covered by smaller stones and seaweed from storms and surf so photographs are not always possible. The Gneiss rock wall holds 500 million years of history in its banded face. The warm light of sunrise was a perfect complement to the colorful intrusions of feldspar, quartz, garnet, and basalt.
