Travel 2019

2019 was a very busy year of traveling, both local and afar. After completing ongoing photo projects, I am finally updating some of the new images into Galleries. 2019 began with an trip to New Zealand's South Island, followed by a stop on the Hawaiian Island of Kauai on the way back to the US. I was hoping to see lava flowing on the Big Island, but unfortunately the impressive eruptions had ceased. Later that spring, I made a trip to the wilds of Olympic National Park in Washington State. A majority of exploration centered around the temperate rainforests and the many beaches that make up the park. Some challenging weather, but unique photographic opportunities presented themselves. The year ended with a fantastic visit to the Italian Dolomites. Travel restrictions related to the Coronavirus now prevent visitors from getting to many Italian destinations in the northern tier of the country, so I feel very fortunate that I was able to see this part of the world.
