Slopes of Blahnukur

During the summer, one has to get up very early to catch sunrise, and extra early if hiking is required to get to a specific location. On this morning, I started hiking around 2 AM to catch this sunrise atop the volcanic peak Blahnukur (Blue Mountain). Arguably the most colorful mountain in the world, Brennisteinsalda and active steam vents can be seen on the left horizon. The Laugahraun lava fields dominate the lower right, covered in vibrant green mosses.
