While not the most colorful sunrise, the drama and atmosphere provided by the fog made up for it. Moments like this are fleeting and so unpredictable, but the rewards when a distant view is revealed make a night hike so worthwhile. The view is toward Kearsarge North from Moat Mountain in NH's White Mountains.
