Above Hardangerfjord

Hardangerfjord is the world's 4th longest fjord, and Norway's 2nd longest. A fjord is a long, narrow waterway connecting the ocean to inland mountains, typically of glacial origin. Norway is blessed with some of the most dramatic fjords anywhere. I chose a less visited hike called the Queen Sonja Panoramic trail to take in the massive fjord and nearby Folgefonna Glacier from above. Clouds and mist would frequently block the view, so taking photos required patience and quickly reacting to moments of clearing while on the move.
