Afterglow

Most folks who take in sunset along the rim of the Grand Canyon leave after the sun goes down. Depending on atmospheric conditions, the real magic can occur about 20 minutes later. The red rock begins to glow orange, and the stars become visible under clear conditions. The Big Dipper appeared above the Canyon as the sky darkened.
