Classic Austrian Landscape

Alpine vistas and grazing sheep just seem to go together in Austria. Sheep range high in the alpine zones in the summer and head back down to the farms come the fall. This flock kept me company as I waiting for sunset at this tarn (Bei der Lacke) above the Stubai Valley along the Stubai Rucksack Route. We descended Peiljoch Pass (3rd from left, toward the center of the far mountain range) earlier in the afternoon en route to the Dresdner Hut below this tarn.
