Crimson Carpet

An incredible morning atop Mount Major in NH's Lakes Region. After capturing the sun cresting the horizon on the opposite side of the summit, I ran to the western ledges to grab the sun illuminating the clouds over Lake Winnipesaukee. The summit wild blueberries are a vibrant red come October, while the valley turns shades of orange and red. This was a 2 image stitch to include the entire view.
