Winter Ridge Line

One of my favorite views looking across to Franconia Ridge from Cannon Mountain. Mounts Lafayette, Lincoln and Little Haystack form the view you see here. I make a point of only shooting this view after a fresh snow, which might be more difficult than you think. Wind can easily blow snow off trees and rocks, or melt by the sun before being photographed. Also, sun position is critical in showing textures in the snow and the folds of the mountains.
