Winter's Blanket

Frost and a fresh 2 feet of snow made for pristine conditions for this sunrise above NH's Crawford Notch. Mounts Willard, Field, Avalon, and Tom catch alpenglow. I had visited this area during a previous autumn and thought it might make an interesting winter image. Frozen fog caked all of the trees, especially the deciduous trees which normally do not hold fresh snow. Temps dropped to -9 degrees this morning.
